                                                                   ORDER


    Acting in accordance with La. Const. Art. V, Subsection I, and the inherent power of this Court:

    IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:   
 

    Due to the uncertainties of the extent of the impact hurricane Ike may have on our area, the 14th Judicial District Court, Parish of Calcasieu, State of Louisiana and the Calcasieu Parish Clerk of Court's office shall be closed on Friday, September 12, 2008.
 

    This closure shall be considered a legal holiday in accordance with LSA R.S. 1:55.

    If the conditions indicate that the Court and Clerk of Court's office should remain closed beyond September 12, 2008, notice of the closure will be posted on the Court's website (www.14jdc.org), the Louisiana Supreme Court website (www.lasc.org) and in the news media.
